Care Instructions
Here are a few of our favourite tips to make sure your sterling silver jewellery stays looking beautiful.
Jewellery storage is key!
When you aren’t wearing your silver, store it in a cool dry place. A fabric-lined jewellery box or pouch is ideal. Store your sterling silver jewellery where it won’t be exposed to direct sunlight to further protect against tarnish.
Avoid contact with chemicals
It can be difficult to know which of your lotions, perfumes and hairsprays will react with your sterling silver jewellery, so as a rule of thumb we recommend playing it safe and avoiding contact with cosmetics as often as possible. This looks like putting on your jewellery after any cosmetic products have dried - think of it as the finishing touch!
Keep it clean
Dirt or oils from your skin can easily transfer on to your sterling silver earrings and can eventually lead to tarnishing, so it's important to keep your jewellery clean. You can use a polishing cloth, or even a soft toothbrush and gentle soap.
Avoid wearing your jewellery in water
Sterling silver is durable but can still be damaged by water, so it's best to remove your jewellery before swimming, bathing, or showering. Moisture can cause tarnishing, and chlorine or saltwater can corrode the metal, leading to discoloration or damage.
